Under this theme, the priority focus is on planning and construction of private, public, and community green buildings and community infrastructure including homes, offices, tourist facilities, irrigation facilities, soil and flood mitigation structures, village and valley level communication/ farm to market roads, safe water supplies, temporary shelters, storage facilities and warehouses.
The services are delivered for the whole value chain by our team of experts. In the mountains, parts of the area falls under the seismic hazard fault line and during natural disasters such as earthquake, floods, stone falls and landslides there is always threat for damage of infrastructures.
In Pakistan the natural forest coverage is only limited to a small locations up in the Karakorum, Himalaya, and Hindukush mountain ranges. However, during the past over 3 decades local people have been engaged with increasing forest cover by planting domestic forest trees and those trees are now at a stage of harvesting as timber for construction of private facilities. We also provide nature-based cost effective solutions to design and install innovative technologies in bringing water to the locations.
Our role is to enhance awareness among the local population not to use natural forest wood for construction rather they should be using PVC materials and greenwood in the construction of building.
We are open to establishing partnerships with potential organization/s including the government to encourage local population in two key components:
- Raise awareness of people to address the issues of energy saving in their existing houses, improve the physical conditions, and manage the kitchen and washroom waste water and’
- Identification and mapping of most vulnerable locations of soil erosion, landslide, and stone- fall and mudflows and design most appropriate nature-based solutions including bringing water for tree plant and increase forest cover;
- Assess the current health of the private homes against potential damages from natural disasters including earthquakes and conduct awareness sessions and work with the people on retrofitting existing structures.
